Zoboomafoo
Images of the actors' chosen animals for each character.
(fun fact: I hated Zoboomafoo weirdly a lot)
Tybalt is an adolescent puma.
Mercutio is a peacock.
Prince Escalus is a tiger.
Lady Capulet is an arctic fox.
Sometimes, her arctic fox might look more like this:
Lord Capulet is a lion...
I mean, THIS lion:
The Nurse is a bulldog.
The Apothecary is a slow loris.
Friar Laurence is a goose.

Some miscellaneous new research:
1) Nurse thoughts.
2) Emanuele Filiberto, Prince of Venice and Piedmont. These are tabloid pictures of him taken when he was recovering from a motorcycle accident.
3) Oh, you know, just some classy BAMF from Verona (really!!)
4) I've always been obsessed with these hats:
"Oh, NEWSIES." NO!! These were hella cool in the 20s. They're sometimes called newsboy caps, but they're also referred to as Jay Gatsby's!
Buster Keaton and Buster Keaton's monkey approve.
5) Then I had this moment when I was weirdly drawn to old photos of female tennis players.
(Aaaagh this baby!!! My hypothetical kids might not play tennis, but they will probably wear berets until they learn to speak up for themselves.)
I don't know.
6) ALSO, I was thinking about the friars, and I was wondering, are there modern-day friars? Who are they? What do they look like? And I found THIS:
Some novitiate friars 5 years ago in Spain. Look at those EAGER FACES!#BestForLast
